ASOS Marketplace wanted to create a new way for its users to interact with the site, and wanted a personalised homepage that allowed people to browse new items easily. Being a global marketplace for boutiques to sell their one off items and vintage clothing, lots of new items are put online, along with news, blog posts and offers. The ‘live feed’ was conceived and shows a constantly updating real time stream of latest fashion clothing from around the worldwide, which allows users to browse in a quick and easy way. If people wanted to see only latest items from their favourite boutiques ‘my feed’ showed only those items, news, and blog updates. Using an infinite scroll to explore the thousands of items of clothing, allowing you to save items to your saved list, follow the boutiques you love and keep updated when more items are posted on the site.
Working on-site with the ASOS team in London I helped guide and design the end solution by working closely with the key product owners, developers and tech teams. I also gave design consultation and helped them improve their design direction.
